Established in 2007 to promote the indigenous
American artform of blues music, Iron Horse is a
small recording label with a big mission.
Cofounder Kent Brodie named the
company in honor of another great American master,
baseball player Lou Gehrig—
whose nickname reflected his stamina,
resolution and strength—and in memory of his mother,
who died of the disease that bears Gehrig’s name.

Based in Bozeman, Montana, Iron Horse Entertainment
promotes and supports the talent of established
and emerging musicians and those working in
other art forms. In addition to the promotion of
quality music, Iron Horse is presently working with
media professionals to explore the world of newly
independent nations, and develop innovative ways
to educate us about these emerging states.
