Established in 2007 to promote the indigenous American art form
of blues music, Iron Horse is a small recording label with a big mission.
Founder Kent Brodie named the company in honor of another great
American master, baseball player Lou Gehrig—whose nickname
reflected his stamina, resolution and strength—and in memory of his
mother, who died of the disease that bears Gehrig’s name.

Based in Bozeman, Montana, Iron Horse Entertainment formed to
promote and support the career of acclaimed blues singer Dave Walker,
whom Brodie met while playing at that town’s infamous Korner Klub.
Brodie, a guitarist and avid music enthusiast with a
background as a fly fishing guide, hit it off with the Englishman immediately,
and the two soon became musical partners, gigging around Bozeman
in clubs and at private parties.

Little did Brodie know that his new musical partner had ridden the
wave of the British Invasion, starting his career with The Red Caps,
opening for the Beatles around Europe before taking stints with
Fleetwood Mac, Black Sabbath and, most notably, as the voice
behind Savoy Brown.

Iron Horse Entertainment exists to support the work of established
and emerging blues and roots artists. For more information about our
